YUM YUM YUM. I am so glad we decided to venture outside of our little corner in San Diego and go to Barrio Logan. My friends and I had just heard so much about this place that we drove down on a Sunday afternoon. The line was literally around the block! You know it's a good restaurant if you see a line! One downside was that parking was a bit difficult, but it wasn't too bad.
Once we got to the restaurant, we didn't have to wait too long (the line moved fast!). While we were waiting though, we were treated to the sights of fresh tortillas being made! Definitely made the wait better. I was starving so I ordered 3 tacos - the barrio, the al pastor, and the chicken. Each taco had it's own pluses, but I especially enjoyed the Al Pastor. It was quite spicy and tasty, and the crunchy onions, cilantro, and sour cream on top really hit it home! The barrio was also to die for. Slightly soupy for my liking, but the taste was out of this world!!! The chicken was A+! They had big chunks of chicken, which I was ecstatic about ;)
As if 3 tacos weren't enough (I was already bursting at the seams!) - my friends and I decided to order the churros & ice cream. So glad we did. It was the best way to end the afternoon - and it was unlike anything I've had before. The churros were spiced to perfection, and the ice cream was rich and flavorful with the kick of lemon and chili on top.
I would highly recommend going to Salud! Really loved it and can't wait to be back! -

Unfortunately with miscommunication the Server was rude and blamed us after a mistake she caused. She dropped off a desert that wasn't ours, without asking if it was ours and left promptly. With no follow up, our party continued eating and enjoying our time together, thinking perhaps it was on the house because the server didn't even blink an eye when dropping it off at our table (we didn't even have a number on our table anymore so we assumed it was on the house). No one came for the desert or to say it was the wrong order; rush died down, we ate everything. When we're done eating our meal she comes over to patronize us for not telling us the order wasn't ours and blames us for her mistake. To be frank, I wish we didn't tip because of her inadequate service (but I know the cooks, the cashier, and our first server deserved it). She made us feel like we were thieves when it was all a misunderstanding. Did she confuse us with another asian party? The way she dropped off that desert with so much confidence perhaps so. Nonetheless the food is good, with the battered fish in the fish tacos being a tad small. This is my second time here and won't be returning; that's okay because they probably think we're thieves and stingy Asians anyway, but even if I did come again will they even know the difference?
*ADVICE to the server who messed up:
My party and I all work in the restaurant industry and know how frustrating it is to deal with customers on the daily and how there will be slip ups out of the many meals you serve per shift. However just remember, despite this frustration and the slack you may get from your manager on your slip ups, to never take it out on the customer or blame them, and to always think of how your manager would want to handle the situation; Accommodating and understanding. Simple as that. -

Meh, not really impressed. I didn't like how they had a unisex bathroom, plus all the graffiti in the restroom. Made it feel dirty.
The bar/eating area is okay, and the food was mediocre. I wish the elote wasn't dunked and mixed completely with the mayo, plus i wish the nacho cheese on my nacho chips order was actually melted.
Maybe if I were to ever come here again, I'd just come for the drinks, but that's it.
I don't recommend coming here if ur looking for good food. -

Definitely not a first timer to Salud! Some of my favorite tacos in San Diego. Parking can be tricky but there's plenty nearby. Their margaritas are delicious and I'm a sucker for their salsa and pastor tacos. 1/10 recommend

the Mexican corn. The music and ambience were fantastic!
